What you liked
-Visually appealing
-Build mode is awesome (being able to move rooms/the whole house with two clicks is genius)
-Create a Sim is fun, and I appreciate the better "genetics" component for family
-The animations are great and fun to watch. I love the subtle mood animations especially.
-All the social interactions!! My sim really does act different depending on her personality and her mood.
What you didn't like
-Much easier to play if you just have one sim. The loss of a open neighborhood makes families harder to play, unless they always travel together. See suggestions for an easy fix to this problem, at least for me.
-No color wheel and swimming pools. It's not a deal breaker for me like many other people claim, but I do miss them.
Suggestions?
-Better autonomy for sims that I am not currently "with." Mainly, I would like the action "go to work" to happen even if I am not there. If its 5:00pm and I'm with my sim at the park, I want my nightshift sim to go ahead and go to work from home. Having to travel home just so he will leave for work is ridiculous.
-Things break too fast. I think this is probably an easy tweak for you guys, but things break way too fast. If I buy a middle of the line item with a reliability level of 5, it breaking every other day is not fun to deal with. I have around 4 things break every day in my medium sized house.
-Whenever my sim is performing comedy at the lounge or club, everyone is too busy at the bar to watch him. It would be nice if "watch performance" had a slightly higher autonomy trigger for NPC sims, or if there was a way my sim could ask his bar buddies to come watch him either while he was performing or before.
Overall thoughts?
Most importantly, I like it, I am having fun! I feel like there are small changes that could be made to improve the game, but I'm glad I bought it, despite being skeptical of its value at first. I am worried about pay walls blocking great content in the future, I don't want to be nickle and dimed to play a game I love.
