What I'm Liking:
~ Emotions and facial animations are great
~ Multitasking
~ Group conversations
~ CAS is pretty damn cool
~ Textures are nice and crisp (most of them)
~ The challenge of keeping your Sims happy
What I'm Not Liking:
~ (Biggest problem first) Lost save data, I know I saved because I'm a save-oholic.
~ No in depth customization, (example) no color sliders or pattern customizing.
~ Load screens even when you want to go to the house next door.
~ No weather (Should have become a staple and not reserved for a standalone DLC).
It's an enjoyable game, I like the direction that it is going in and I personally think that some of the changes that have been made are going to be good in the long run.
Having said that, I was thoroughly enjoying the game until the auto save or something corrupted my regular save and I lost roughly 4 hours worth of progress. It's a bit of a gut wrenching feeling when you realize that you have to do everything all over again, lets put it this way, it really doesn't make me want to play out of fear that I'll loose progress again.
As a modder I know making games isn't easy, but seriously, it looks like one of three scenarios have taken place:
One being a lack of effort.
Two being rushed to meet a deadline.
And three being that content was held back on purpose to be released as DLC at a later date.
It could be a mix of both Two and Three.
However, in conclusion, The Sims 4 is a nice new addition that seems to work on some of the best features of the previous games whilst introducing new gameplay mechanics and leaving out the crap.
