This game feels really unfinished. I thought it was a nice step forward with the Create A Sim. The emotions and aspirations are sort of cool. And the new skills are fun, like Gourmet Cooking. And it runs smoothly. But for every step this game takes forward, it takes three steps back. I always liked the realism of the game. For example, the grass in Sims 3 looks pretty realistic. But when I went to spray grass over the lot of a desert home in Sims 4 it looked like spray paint.
The fact that their aren't any cars is a huge disappointment, but then I asked myself where would they go with them in this teeny little neighbourhood? Everything in the games seems so stripped down and basic, like there was a rush to put it together to meet a deadline. I find myself mildly enjoying some of the newer aspects of the game, but then deeply missing things that have always been a part of the Sims. I spend so much time looking for things that should be there to find they were left out. No dishwashers??? Seriously?
As it has been said several times, I dislike that I have nothing to do when my Sim goes off to work but stare at their house. I can't check in on their bars, look at their skills, nothing. It's so limiting. I could go on and on, but I'd just be repeating what others have already said.
So, after playing it for a couple of days, I'm bored.
