I've been reading the posts like everyone else and although I don't yet have the game (budget constraints), I think the major problem with The Sims 4 is that everyone who likes The Sims 3 was hoping for something to continue from where they left off in 3. That means they were expecting all the good stuff from all the expansions, a similarity in game play and a relatively lag free experience of that game play. None of the previous three instalments came with all the goodies right at the start, they came with something to get people interested in how the new series was going to play out and as time went on, stuff was added and people liked those games more and more. I feel it's pretty unfair to feel that seasons, aliens, pools, toddlers and whatever else is being complained about not being in the game should be in, it's also unfair to say this game is better or worse than any other, it is what it is and should be enjoyed as it is. I hope to get the game soon and I will try to enjoy it with an open mind and go from there.
