I have been so excited for this game to be released that I had it on pre-order for a year! I must say however I am a little disappointed after spending all this money and waiting so long I feel that the game is no where near finished.
Things I Disliked -
. Camera Tilt - Its so annoying that I can't tilt the camera so I can have a clear view of my house and Sims, I have to settle with the current camera and it is just to low for my liking.
. The worlds/lots - There is hardly anything there!! I feel that there is nothing for my Sims to do other than go to the gym, park or bar/lounge! Where as in the Sims 3 there were so many places you could go! I get bored after creating my Sim, getting a job and having a baby as that is all you can do!
. Loading Screens - This is so so frustrating! You can't even walk next door to your Neighbour without the loading screen where as in the Sims3 you could walk to the other side of town if you wanted to. Also when you go for a jog you get to the end of the path and turn around!! Great exercise....
. Maternity leave - In the Sims3 when a baby was born the mother would have a few days off at work to look after the baby however you are expected to carry on as normal and the baby just disappears to 'child care' and re-appears when you come home.
. Transport - There isn't any!
. Lack of - No swimming pools, Toddlers and things to do at home and out and about.
. Traits - There are very few traits that my Sim can have. I would like more to make the Sim more personal.
. Jobs - Not enough. Where are the Teachers, Doctors and other important jobs??
. Sim Needs - They turn to red so quickly. I swear my Sim goes to the bathroom 10 times in 1 day!! If they don't need the loo they are either hungry or tired so all it feels like I'm doing is cooking, sleeping and in the bathroom.
Things I liked:
. Create a Sim - Love how you can make them unique and more realistic. The clothing choices are great and not all frumpy looking like in the Sims3.
. Emotions - It's wonderful to finally have realistic emotions and everything you do has an impact on your Sim.
. Build Mode - Love how easy it is to build a house, never used to bother in the Sims 3 as I found the controls difficult.
. Graphics
Overall I am very disappointed in the Sims 4 and expected more for my money. I feel that they have taken away everything that was great with the game. What they need to do it put the Sims3 with Build Mode & Create a Sim and graphics from Sims4 which to me would be perfect!! Looks like now I will have to spend more money on expansion packs in order to hopefully get the game I want.
