What I like:
- The game runs really smoothly and looks great. I'm on holidays and am currently playing it on my laptop on the lowest graphic settings, but it's still great. Can't wait to play it on my pc.
- CAS
- No toddlers. It may sound mean, but I prefer it this way. I play with multiple families and usually 'breed' my Sims. I'm really glad I don't have to go through that phase with each of them. I hope there won't be any EPs that will include 'obligatory' toddlers.
- I actually don't mind the closed world. It seems that there are much more Sims on the public lots.
- It's much easier to play with multiple families than in the Sims 3. I prefer to do my own story progression. It's great that I can age the non-playing Sims as well.
- Multitasking and group conversations.
- Styled rooms. I love to build, but sometimes I can't be bothered, so it's nice that I can just quickly use one.
What I don't like:
- Yes, I know it's the base game, but there is really not much to do. The most disappointing are the public places. I made my own, but there's not much to work with.
- The romance options are so tame as if the game was rated PG. I particularly miss the different 'Make out' options. Currently it's some pecks on the cheek while sitting on the sofa. The new love life of the Sims is really boring (especially as we had much more exciting ones in the Sims 1&2&3. Please don't say it's because the age rating has been lowered; that's doesn't comfort me :) ).
- No colour wheel.
- No family tree.
- No memories. (In a way it's a good thing that they don't have thousands of them, but at it would be nice if they had a few about the major events in their lives.)
- I'm not very happy with the Gallery. I love to share my stuff, I have created thousands of things in the Sims 3. Now, if you don't get favorited by Maxis, you might as well bin your creations. I would also prefer to have the option of uploading individual Sims, rather than households.
- The Sims 4 profile. It doesn't show my friends or creations; there's no studio any more. It's a bit impractical that they are showcased on the Origin profile. I had over a thousand friends on the Sims 3, it would be nice to have them back. The whole thing with the multiple profiles is a bit confusing. Merging the Sims 3&4 profiles would be most helpful.
Overall, I do like the game and won't start moaning about stuff that's not in there yet. I'm sure that the pools, hot tubs and more exciting things will come soon.
