The Sims 4 for a base game is the worse i've seen since the original game, so little to do and it is that bad i'm bored of the game within an hour. My favourite is The Sims 2 because it ran without crashing, The Sims 3 Crashed most of the time and was slow. The Sims 4 hasn't yet crashed on me, maybe because I get so bored with it after an hour it doesn't get a chance. It seems to run reasonably ok on low/medium setting, but crank it up to max its pretty much unplayable even on a quad i7 with 8GB ram and a 2GB video card.
I do like the new 'multitasking' feature and some of the new features. I find that if you want white (like in clothes), you kinda get a gray colour instead.
I know a big thing was the change in 'build mode' but honestly I don't really like it, i prefer Sims 3 way. I don't like a camera in the way you move it, it kinda looks over your sims rather than zoning in level so you can feel like you're in with them like you could in the Sims 3. My biggest whinge is the controls layout, its all spread out all over the screen, i just hate it, some controls are bottom left, some bottom right, and the remainder top right, just don't like it, i prefer all the controls and things together, guess i'm just so used to it that way. What's with the edge scrolling, the left, right and top edge work but the bottom edge doesn't work.
Since most of us miss pools, toddlers and other kidding features, I hope they return.
I hope updates come soon to fix bugs and glitches. I really hope that the first expansion pack really pack a lot of bang for your buck to really add to the game.
Another bug I think is the counters, I moved into a house with everything in it, and it had kitchen counters around the TV and for the life of me I cannot recreate it, I used the dropper tool to get the exact counter but I can't get it to go around like they had it.
I think the graphics are a bit crappy compared to Sims 3.
I'm honestly quite disappointed with it so far, its kind of like a step back with new features. I've been a Sim fan since the beginning.
I will definitely give this game a couple of expansion packs and see if it help expand the game with more things to do.
