Been playing since the dawn of Sims. Used to forget the world around me & play til exhausted. No cheating, just developing skills & planning carefully to make my sims fulfill their aspirations and long term goals, making everything as realistic as possible, no murdering my sims just for fun... Was so excited about Sims4, wondering how the best game ever has been developed to be even better. What a disappointment :S I have to force myself to play, just to get used to the game, to be able at least comment different aspects of it. I havent progressed more than 3 hours in the game and it irritates me beyond belief. Still, it's not as bad as Sims for Wii. I might get used to it. I really do hope so.
My pros & cons so far:
+ it's easy to just click & start the game - no more waiting for ages while everything loads
- CAS is pointless for me without the possibility to modify the colors & patterns to my liking, same goes for the build mode
- no more Open World - really?? not to mention everything else that felt absolutely basic and has been removed now. I don't know what to do in the game anymore, because most of the things I enjoyed about playing are gone. I'm in no control of anything anymore, can't even keep my eye on household members back at home while taking 1 of them to community areas.
- user interface & camera controls - excuse me, I'm out of words to describe what exactly drives me mad, it's just clumsy and I don't get it.
I'm sure I'm gonna be happy to see pregnant sims with all the normal clothes and other things people have mentioned on the positive side. When I finally manage myself to keep on playing for so long.
Gonna have a coffee, keep calm & return to Sims3. For now.
