OBSERVATION: The Sims 4 has been available for over a week. The press on the game was pretty much a disaster. On this thread alone there are many many pages of gripes about things missing or taken out of the game (not to mention all the other threads that are pretty much the same) and many of those gripes are redundant (as in, much of what is asked for are the same items over and over). The Gurus opened a thread then closed it within days (too much negativity, maybe? Or, questions they couldn't answer)
SOOOOOO, why hasn't EA/Maxis made a statement like: "Sorry guys and girls! This will all be fixed by (insert date here)". They know they have a problem and are in jeopardy of having the whole franchise crash and burn (at least moving forward). This is the time to come forward and save the day...and all it would take is a positive response and a set date to make the fixes. Seems like they can't swallow the idea that they screwed the pooch (paraphrase "All The Right Stuff")
The bugs and glitches can take the usual amount of time to get ironed out, we're used to that but EA/Maxis has to pull some magic out of the hat to fix what shouldn't have been broken in the first place. I just can't understand how they even believed they were going to get away with leaving out staple items in the first place. I'd really like to hear the answer to that question but that's never gonna happen.
