Sims 4 - 3.5/10.
I don't want to write too much about likes/dislikes. But I'm just going to list the most important items to me.
I like:
multi-tasking, like reading a book on the toilet and having conversations while cooking
the build tool works really well, for moving walls, saving rooms, etc. I love the search box for items.
I don't like:
A LOT ...and honestly I'm bored.
lack of terra-forming
lack of community lots
It's unusual, but when playing this Sims version, I feel like nothing I do matters as part of a story. I feel like it has more to do with completing items on a checklist instead of actually crafting a story. It really feels irrelevant which sim my sim is talking to. They all seem to react the same way, positively. Sim A could be Sim B could be Sim C. I don't know where anyone lives because it's too much of a pain to travel to their house, especially when nobody seems to be home anyways. They all just automatically walk through my sim's neighborhood. And I think that might be the real reason I can't fight off boredom in this game. I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere in a story. It's lacking cohesion and relevance. It feels completionist instead of creative.
