Iam a long time simmer and so far I love this new instalment more than I did Sims 3 when it first came out. It was the stability issues with Sims 3 that I hated, it never run right even though it should have. I play Sims 4 on ultra on the same computer and it plays much better than Sims 3 ever did.
Here are some things I really love about the game.
* Multitasking
* The build mode is great and I find it so easy to create a very beautiful home with an amazing roof than I ever have
* I really like the emotions they add realism and depth to the gameplay
* The way the Sims socialize and can change the subject so seamlessly is a great change
* Routing, the Sims never get stuck
* When you have preset outfits and they alternate through them
* Im in love with the shadows and lighting in the game great job! Overall graphics are very smooth looking too!
* So many objects and its just the base game!
* The children life stage is so adorable, I love them!
* The lots are full of Sims and around the neighbourhood as well
* The game has more challenge. For example to gain a career level or better grades you need to do a lot more activities than just gain skill level
* Love how Sims knock on your door randomly without being invited when they are friends :) Missed this a lot in Sims 3
* The ability to make your own cake for a birthday or wedding
* The party and date challenge and rewards, and the ability to hire your own staff for the party and invite 15 guests!
* The little details of the world like fireflies, though I wish we could catch them
* Environment sounds!
* Family dinners
* Kids Toys, though I wish the dollhouse was smaller lol
* Kids can draw and play instruments and also fish and such
* CAS
* Round Fence
* The way cheap objects take longer time to use and break down faster than expensive ones, makes a good incentive to replace appliances to better ones. I found that Sims 3 was too easy overall and got boring fast, with Sims 4 this is not the case. This gives money more meaning and you earn for a better reason.
* Bills are more depending on house and area. love this, like I said in the previous point money has more meaning and creates a challenge.
Things I Dislike
* No Toddlers, I really miss them :(
* Babies tied to bassinet
* No Pool
* No school bus
* Teens the same as adults
* No npc like repairman, firemen, police and babysitter
* No sprinkler for my plants
* No swings for the playground
* Not able to build on public space
* Too many white doors and not enough other colours
* No Family Tree
* No Sims seem to react to a Sim dying or fighting
* Can't hold a funeral so friends of the deceased have no way of knowing or to grieve
* Can't hold a birthday party for a baby
* Can't set a time for a party, Parties start right away without being able to have time to travel or prepare
* Can't place individual tiles
* Can't add foundation separately either
* No dishwasher, blender or trash compacter
