Hey there!
I absolutely love the game. I love everything in it and have not found anything major yet that would drive me as crazy as it may drive other people crazy.
For example I actually like the fact that there are no toddlers anymore as I hated that stage anyways, and pools? I never really used them, so thats not an issue for me!
I like the multitasking
I like the emotions
I like all the new possibilities
The loading screens to visit other lots is slightly inconvenient but I can live with it, if it makes the game run smoother. I can remeber in The Sims 3 with a lot of expansions and long game time with my household, it was always very laggy, which was kinda annoying.
I don't think I can make a list of all the things I like, it would be way to long so I would like to keep it general: I love the game!
But I have some things I wish that would be added/changed:
- More normal jobs
- Professions like in The Sims 3 where one actually had to play the 'work' and actually work!
- More options in CAS - At the moment I use the CAS a lot as I have a ton of fun creating sims. In the modeling forum I have my Order a Sim Thread and people request Sims of celebritys, actors, fictional characters, themselves, and I absolutely love to do it. However, there are sadly not enough options in regards of hairstyles and colors and accessories. The available hairstyles for men are even worse, there is just too little. My last project was Fringe, Walter and Peter Bishop and Olivia, and I had troubles getting Walter and Peter right. Walter is old but there are not enough hairstyles that would fit to 'old' people. I mean, if someone becomes an elder, they usually don't keep running around with perfectly gel-styled hip hair, but would also not just shave all their hair. Peter on the other hand is young, has not completely short hair but a receding hairline, so it was impossible to find a perfect hairstyle for any of those. It would be nice if there would be some kind of slider where you can make the hair longer/shorter at different hairstyles and change the features like adding receding hairline etc.
- In The Sims 3 it was possible to change the Haircolor of highlights, roots. etc, which I miss a lot in The Sims 4.
- There are also not enough options for facial features for older people, for example wrinkels. It is not possible to change it at all, it is either pre-wrinkled or not-wrinkled, that is not enough. There should be different options like there are for eyes, noses, etc. There are also not-elder adults that have some kind of wrinkles, dimples etc. but you can't make them in CAS other than making the Sim an elder, but then it does not fit anymore. So more options here would be nice.
- Colors/patterns for clothing etc. It has already been mentioned by other players that there is not enough.
- Clothes on Clothes: If I want my Sim to wear a jacket, I would like to be able to choose what kind of shirt they wear underneath. There are a couple of opened jackets but what the Sim wears underneath it is preset to that particular jacket, which is a bit boring and annoying, especially when you try to go for a certain style and then the colors just don't match with the rest of the outfit.
- Female Hairstyles - I wish it would be possible, when the Sim has the hairstyle with 2 pony tails on each side, the ponytails would look out when wearing a hat/cap.
- Family Trees are missing!
