Or better still, improve AI so that visiting sims have a better idea of what is appropriate during a visit. I wouldn't visit a friend and sit and read a book at all! However there are situations where it is appropriate for a visitor to enter a bedroom, for example if it's a child and they want to play with the host child's toys. I have always found it annoying that if I lock the door to a child's room the parent can't go in to help with homework or chat to child, but if I don't lock the door the parent goes and reads on the child's bed or gets their laptop out on the child's desk. So it't not so much about going into the room (ie locking the door) and more about autonomously using the *things* in that room. With ownership of beds could fairly easily come recognition of whose room it is. If a room has one or more owned beds in it, and none of them are *your* bed, then don't use anything in that room autonomously.
