After 160 hours of game play I can relate to virtually all of the fun and disappointments experienced. My greatest desires up front for change?
"They're so smart it's weird" needs to live up to the hype.
Sims all going for the same bathroom or all walking in to the nearest bathroom when there are 6 bathrooms evenly spread throughout the house is just plain ridiculous. Why is it so hard to give them their "smarts" to allow them to go to "available" restrooms with others occupied?
Even adding the option that allows us to "set" a specific bathroom toilet/shower/etc. to each Sim at home would be a godsend (this would allow my family to actually use all their nifty personal bathrooms installed in each of their bedrooms.
Having a truly life going Sim world... What I mean by this is that each Sim has their job and levels up over time as well as their skills, increasing their money and even allowing them to purchase new furnished homes based on their current level of money/income/etc. Sure sure some peeps may say that it's a potential cheat to then move in those Sims to merge funds however what's the difference of just asking them to move in with you, let them go on auto pilot with their jobs and watch them add to your income as well as gain skills interacting with all the equipment/items in your household?
I just find it immersion breaking when I can spend in-game weeks of advancing and making money, only to go visit various Sims and find they are still at the same level of housing/funds/etc.... with the minor increase in 2-3 skills that actually show half way to level 2 or at level 2 (really?).
All in all I have enjoyed playing TS4 and feel that there is great potential for it. I just hope that the powers that be are taking these all into serious consideration and are willing to evolve TS4 into a true "They're so smart it's weird" Sim that deserves the hype.
