I was so excited about getting this game that when it came out I bought it as soon as Walmart opened here :^). When I started playing it I immediately knew I made a foolish decision on buying it so soon. Forgive me if that statement seemed rash. I'm just so disappointed. : [ I understand the Sims 3 was very problematic for many players. ( I was one of those players on many occasions) But even with the bugs and what-not I still got by and found it so much fun. The Sims 4 right now pales in comparison and its not because I have the expansions on Sims 3 for I only have one expansion anyway; "Island Paradise"- The Sims 4 just is just so dull. I was so sad last Thursday for I literaly prefered to do my Calculus homework rather than play my newly purchased Sims 4 game- I suppose I should thank you for making such an unaddictive game so I can excel in my studies. Here is my feedback-
Things that I like about this game:
I love that the sims are more lively and are not retards about moving around other sims.
I love the social interactions and the accompanied the facial expressions.
I love the emotion features.
I enjoy the set of tasks given for work/school before a promotion rather than getting promoted by just earning a skill here-there and working.
I like that sims come and visit your active family frequently. (It is a bit annoying that they don't go home though when you go to work/sleep)
I like how more sims are in community lots doing their own thing.
I like the graphics and style of the furnishings.
I like create a sim and the ability to make literaly anyone you know.
Things that I wish could be changed about this game:
I really miss the free world environment.
I miss the ability to adjust the span of the different lifestages
I miss having a bit more radio stations. (Sims 3 Base game had at least 4)
I miss the story progession on the unplayed sims. (Even though it wasn't that great in the Sims 3 it was still kinda nice when things did happen as oppose a guaranteed no progression unplayed sims.)
I miss going to the store and purchasing food/books/do-dads. I was actually a player who frequently utilized the grocery-list option when going to the grocery store for a bit of realism in the Sims 3)
I miss when my sims get married their last name changes accordingly.
I miss cars/bikes.<- and even the notorious carpool for god's sake.
I miss being able to dance "together".
I miss having more traits per-sim.
I miss the base game careers that came with Sims 3. (i.e Medicial, Business) Who came up with Comedian career? <- : / Super random to add that and get rid of Business/Medicial.
I miss meeting other sims at work (i.e coworkers or your boss)<- Same for school (i.e meeting other students your age span)
I miss family trees.
I miss having more lots both community and residential.
I miss being able to "WooHoo" in the shower.
I feel like that should be enough. I don't want to seem like a Negatron for I'm really trying to be an Opti-mist-prime with this feedback post. :D (Sorry just saw the transformers movie.) Anywho I can really tell that there was extensive work on some things and on others a "****-it" attitude. I wish that the Sims Studio team integrated the new "Smart sim feature" and kept the Sims 3 setting with some minor updates of course; I was really expecting something like that anyway in 4. I would've never thought the Sims 4 would be like this. I am very disappointed. I cannot possibly believe if that Sims studio is full of so many die-hard Sims fans that they too aren't dissatisfied. For those of you reading this post who haven't gotten the game. Please save your $60 for I wish I still had mine.
