There is so much to love about Sims 4. And so much not to love. First, the love:
1. I think the graphics are gorgeous. I especially love the parks.
2. I love the Sim interactions. There is much more depth to how they relate to each other.
3. Some of the new build options are amazing: the roofing, the curved fences and walls, the wall height, the foundation tool
4. Great clutter items! Love them, they were well thought out. Now if we only had the ability to place them where we wanted (more about that later.)
5. The ability to resize build items is fabulous.
6. Love the soundtrack, especially in build mode. I have to admit (and yes, I know I could have changed it, too lazy) but the S3 music in build mode made me hit the mute every time.
7. My Sims laugh in their sleep and that makes me laugh every time.
Ok, now for the not loves:
1. No MOO. This one is HUGE. Ok, really, I am not mentioning (well, I guess I am mentioning it) the no CASt thing which I can only say WTF were you guys thinking when you took that out? Seriously, dudes, that was one of the most creative tools in S3 and you blew it off so Sims could get super embarrassed when someone walked in on them on the potty? Really? But then, no MOO on top of that? Cut off us creative builders at the knees, why don't ya?
2. No toddlers. I miss my toddlers. Face it, the babies in S4 are creepy little buggers whose only interactions are crying, waving their bug like appendages around and having smelly diapers. And then, bang, they are children. Toddlers in S3 were cute, super cute and fun to have grow up in the game. I want my toddlers back.
3. No terrain tools. Because we all know the world is flat.
4. Lack of available building lots. Cramps a builder's style.
5. Did I mention that leaving out CASt was a really bad idea?
6. ETA: What is up with stuff not matching? If you are going to limit us to premade pallettes, at least those pallettes should match!
Well, those are my initial impressions. Thanks for listening!
