What I like: Overall, I really enjoy the game play. I also like the auto saving and even though there are loading screens, they are overall very short. It doesn't take 5 minutes for the game to start up like the Sims 3. I really enjoy emotions, it adds to the dimension of the game. I love being able to multitask! Having a sim eat and pee at the same time is great! I like that it is more challenging to progress through your career when you don't have a lot of money, I think that is a lot more realistic. The Sims 4 seems more like a video game, lot of objects that you have to unlock though playing the game. The new building style is great. I like all the added features to the build mode. I am still having issues with roofs, specifically having a balcony on the same level as other roofing. Love being able to move my whole house! Also, I like that I can randomly generate a name! I am so bad at coming up with names for my sims, so that saves me a ton of time. It is also nice that they generated names are actually good names, like I just generated Rose, which is a great name that I would not have thought of.
What I don't like: The biggest thing that bothers me right now in game interactions is how actions cancel once you present your sim to do another activity. For example, my sim really has to go to the bathroom, so I tell them to use the toilet, then before they are done I ask them to make breakfast because they are also hungry. My sim decides they cannot do both at the same time and doesn't go to the toilet. It is really annoying. Especially if you have a large house, and you just want to give each sim a bunch of activities to do before they go to school/work. Do I miss swimming pools? Not really, I like building them, but my sims rarely played in them. There wasn't enough for a sim to do in the pool anyway, like I couldn't tell them to swim laps, or play volleyball, etc. I understand that having things break often makes the game harder, but sometimes it is a little unrealistic. Typically my shower and toilet do not break 100 times within my lifetime. I would like to see dishwashers and toddlers in later expansion packs.
Suggestions: I would like to see expansion packs with things and interactions that I would actually use! Sometimes you order a stuff pack and you don't like half the things in them. They should just come out with expansion packs that add game interactions and then sell individual objects in the online store. That way people only buy things they want and don't slow their game down with a million different stupid hats, or whatever else we don't really want.
