Kudos:
I love the multitasking. I love the social interactions. I love the new career tracks. I feel we have to really work toward our promotions instead of automatically getting them after a couple of days whether we wanted them or not. Earning more money is always nice, but if I like my schedule, I will just keep from doing what is required to go the next step up. I love that random sims walk around and I have the choice to interact or not. I love going to a town lot that is either already full or fills up when I get there. I love how learning to play the guitar has more real feeling levels and sounds. The tunes played are more inspiring to me so I can imagine how my Sim feels.
I find myself Sim watching the randoms around me. Although most of the randoms, who are homeless, seem to sleep on the benches around town and don't use the public facilities to bathe. I feel sorry for them. It always cracks me up to see randoms stomping around angry. I love how much harder it is to level up the fishing skill to actually catch a fish. I appreciate the Sims who come by for a visit and stay long enough to increase our connection and then they go home.
I noticed the Sims do seem to have random emotions at times. I think some public items are giving out hidden auras. When I go to a lounge my Sim will be happy and then for no reason I can discern, she gets flirty when near the bar. The same can be said for the arbor at the museum. You must have programmed some "trigger".

I would appreciate it if the full on/off autonomy would get fixed. I am tired of my Sim rudely greeting others when I don't have enough time to stop her. She also tends to cut off conversations to get a drink at the bar and I have to continuously cancel the action. She also keeps doing enchanting greetings with both males and females. Furthermore, I have been trying to train my Sim to autonomously wash the dishes, put away her guitar and IPad in her inventory....it isn't working. Why is that? I would really love it if the neighborhoods I am not playing would progress. It is very frustrating to finally locate a harvestable item but not be able to harvest it. I know about grafting, but that takes a long time to level up to seven before that is an option. I have been spending my time leveling up the guitar, handiness, cooking and painting skills...not to mention charisma, video gaming and athletic. I don't have enough time yet to care for more than two plants. Which causes slow build up in gardening. I thought I would get a little increase in skill when researching gardening, but that was a bust. That would be great, if possible, to get a little skill up when researching a subject.
I'm not big on creativity, but I really miss the color wheel. I can't seem to get my color coordination just right with my outfits. I am not all that much into aesthetics, but there you have it. Please get the achievements fixed so I can at least have a visual confirmation of my accomplishments. I also miss being able to see how much Sim time has gone by in my game. In Sims 3 I could mouse over the day and it would tell me how many weeks I had been playing in Sim time.
Why don't programming Sims get to play the video games they create? When I played as a writer I could read my books. The programmers should be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. It took a lot of time to make those games as I am sure you know firsthand.
All the furniture should have comfort identifiers so we can be more accommodating when our Sim complains of uncomfortable or cheap furniture. Speaking of wants...why does my inspired Sim keep getting a whim to purchase an instrument or easel when she already has both. I am not a programmer but could you write in some type of IF statement to stop that?
At first I was a little irritated that elder Sims kept populating my game. I have since populated my managed households with the people I want to interact with and ensured they had enough funds to move into an empty house. Now my world is lovely. Full of all types of people and age groups. I haven't maxed my handiness skill in any of my games yet to reach the mine, but I was kind of disappointed with the hidden glade in the tree. Not sure what I expected, but it was disappointing.
A suggestion for the viewable pics we take. They should become available to upload to the Sim social network.
The paintings in the museum should include at least one of my masterpieces. I loved that in TS3. Also how do I get rid of the paintings the random Sims make in the museum? Right now I am going into manage world mode to remove them, but my Sim is doing things on her own while I am gone.
All in all, I am loving to play this game. It is additive. I find myself missing sleep because I want to do "one more thing" before shutting down for the night. I have a lot of areas of the game I have yet to explore and I am looking forward to it. I am sure I will have more to add later. :) <3
