There's a lot I like about TS4 but unfortunately there's more that I disliked than I expected. I'll start out with the positive...

*Multitasking LOVE IT!!
*Graphics are much better in my opinion than previous sim platforms
*Build tool
*Love the CAS being able to stretch and shape the sims to make them more unique
Dislikes
*No more cars. I feel like this alone is a major set back in the game. There's not even a carpool to pick up your working sim anymore.
*So this is probably the thing that I absolutely cannot get my head around THERE ARE NO DISHWASHERS. I don't understand even in TS1 there was a dishwasher I don't get it and that alone was very annoying when I was building and trying to design my sims kitchen.
*There are no more toddlers. That was probably my favorite stage for the kids because you were able to build strong relationships with them.
*No more customizing everything. I don't like the fact that now we can no longer edit fabrics and I HIGHLY HIGHLY dislike the presets that are available there's only one print but there is nothing that is geared towards a child or teen room.
*Since there are no longer toddlers there should at least be more crib and nursery options for the game
*The loading screen going from your lot to a neighbors lot. It makes you not want to go any where or visit because you spend a good chunk of time watching the screen load it feels like an overall step back to TS1.
*There's not a lot of places to go within the neighborhoods. Only 4 places in the neighborhood so it makes going on a date kind of difficult because you only have 1 bar/nightclub per town. What happen to having a town center for everyone to socialize in. it's very disappointing.
*There's no longer any firemen/police/nannies. I had two different fires in my house and I have almost lost a sim. They spend so much time panicking about the fire and unless they are feeling "confident" do they respond with putting the fire out. The transition is too long in my opinion from panic to extinguish. I don't understand the point in having a fire alarm if there is not fireman to come and put the fire out. TS1 had a fireman at the least.
*They took away the auto roof tool which was soooo helpful to the roofing incapable which is me.
*The tilt camera was taken away as well and that alone being an avid simmer was super difficult for me it is so much harder to build and design when you only have the basic camera and the birds eye view. It makes playing a little more difficult as well.
To say that I paid $69.99 for this game I'm extremely disappointed and want to go back to playing my sims 3.
Overall:
I feel that we need larger worlds and update the camera angles because this whole game feels like a major set back to the TS1. I feel all they did was give TS1 a face lift with better graphics and more sim capability. With previous platforms there was progression. TS1 to TS2 we were able to do more with our sims and we gain more customizing features. TS2 to TS3 we gained even more play with our sims and the pattern tool, edit world, camera angles, pregnancies, infant/toddler/child/teen phases were the teens looked like teens and had different clothing. Then TS4 we get set back to TS1 with better graphics but less ability to customize and we lost everything. Very disappointing maybe great to the players who are just starting out with the sims 4 but to all of us who have been with the game since the beginning...not meeting expectation.
