*sigh* another event at the release of a DLC. 😞 I really wish we wouldn't always get them together. This is the fourth EP who's released a squized into the time frame of an event. For those who only have limited time to play it's stressful to do the fomo driven obligatory event tasks and sacrifice the short time in which a DLC is 'fresh'
This time the event rewards seem rather dull. Looks like there will be another trait or aspiration that will become forever unobtainable to players who miss the event. Locking gameplay behind events just feels wrong.
With every event the moment that I will cast aside this game comes a step closer. What wrong with a sandbox game that we can play at our own convenience? Why add in tasks on a timer and punish those who don't keep up by making sure they never get the gameplay of the event? I have passed the phase where I am angry. I'm just getting tired and sad of these events now.

I hear you. I'm not a task-driven player for the most part. I do focus on my main Sim's career, but that's different. I chose his career, and I love Rock N Roll. However, the Time-Travel one was fun, and I did the previous task because I wanted the outhouse. (I used my other save for that task, too. (May sound very strange, but that other save I mentioned is from a specific time frame, in which these things were the norm.) I'm not at all happy with another EP following so closely on the heels of the last one, of which I'm still learning how best to utilize it in my futuristic save. In fact, one of the mods I use (a vital) mod to my game, has just released an updated version. Just! And now, tomorrow we get yet another large Patch. Leaving me to wonder if things will break in my game again. Shades of 2020+ when a patch took out my save. Dummy me, I didn't get the lesson of backing up my game previous to a patch. Now, I backup everything even for a tiny patch.
