I got to thinking about this while trying to sleep last night. LOL If adult sims are not able to access the tree in Willow Brook to go to Sylvan Glade unless they have Handiness skill level 10 (don't know if that's ever changed), then how is a child going to be able to???? Will all children and older be able to travel there now without the Handiness skill after this... Just thinking out loud here...... But I do wonder...... I haven't played a child sim in 9 or 10 months as I was working on getting all the collections available and feasible in 1 household. I just finished a couple of days ago. Been here mostly since!!
The forgotten grotto in oasis springs requires handiness level 10, Sylvan Glade does not. Once the entrance to the grotto is opened by a sim , it is open to everyone in that save. Others can go through without handiness10. I haven't tried yet with kids though . The tree to Sylvan Glade requires to interact with the tree but I don't know if that remains open for everyone in the same save.
I any case you can always travel there with an adult and invite over other sims in the household by clicking on their portrait at the bottom of the screen.
