For me, I always start with the exterior just cuz I like the outside to look pretty. XD
I like houseplans.com because they have an awesome collection of contemporary houses. I tend to make mostly colonials and traditional so I've been trying to push myself into new areas.

Just save the images to your iPad (tablet) and then when you are building? Have the image pulled up and follow the floor plan.
