Oh, cool. Happy play thread! YeY! I've missed these.
I don't have images. I've had browser issues the last few times I've tried to use my photobucket acct. Whether that's my computer or photobucket is beyond my knowledge. I'll throw out a guess at my computer. Either that or operator error.
I'm currently playing an alien/human couple, Ayden (alien) and Juliana (human) Woods. Ayden's a purple alien, often disguised, as I discovered early on that other sims really dislike undisguised aliens. He's an author and house husband, cleans and fixes stuff that most everyone else breaks. Juliana has just got the midlevel promotion in the musician career. She rocks on violin. Stick her in front of a piano and it's a whole different story.
They've got two children, Anthony, who's a child. An A student who's a bookworm (for some odd reason I gave him the rambunctious scamp child LTW). He has a baby sister, Anna. Juliana currently has a whim pinned to have another child. I'm waiting til Anna joins the world of childhood before granting that whim. Both the children, being alien hybrids, are purple. In TS3 after we got the different coloured skins, I spent time trying to purplize the towns. I never got beyond a third generation in any game. Bugs usually irritated me to the point of deleting the game and starting over. I decided to try again with TS4.
They live in what I term as their upside down house. It's also made almost solely with styled rooms. On the ground floor is all the normal things you'd find on a ground floor. Kitchen/diner, living room, study, bathroom. The bedrooms and other bathroom are in the basement. They're not exactly flush with cash. I'm saving their money for a styled bedroom for Anna. Between Ayden's books and fishing and Juliana's work, it'll be another sim day or two.
Last night I started fixing up all the towns. I've moved half the community lots over to Newcrest. I would've moved the Woods and their lot over to the biggest lot in Newcrest but it meant cheating. I deleted the second gym and another building, presently forgetting what, and deleted the rest when I moved them all. I added in a wedding lot and a couple of new houses from the exchange. The OP made me realise that I ought to put in a community garden.
I'll go back to that possibly tomorrow night. I, unfortunately, have class work to do for my adult education classes over the next day or so, plus the actual classes themselves. I enjoyed reading the thread.
P.S Looking forward to the patio stuff pack release.
