As the Patch family ate, a thunderstorm was rolling in.

"It...It's okay, Bryte," said Caleb, a bit shaken himself. "It's just thunder."
Author's note: Seriously. Apparently Caleb has a fear of thunderstorms. Dot and Dash weren't even phased.

Dash was in with Britt, eating with her on her bed as she whimpered about the thunderstorm.
"Scared?" asked Dash.
"Un-un..." Britt nodded as she ate, thunder rumbling.

To try and calm his nerves, Caleb went to meditate.

"I was scared when I was your age too," said Dash.
Britt sniffed.

Dot then walked in to check on her niece and brother.
"And so I had to have my nappy changed twice during a thunderstorm."
"Twice?" Dot giggled. "There was one night we ran out of Huggles and had to use cloth diapers on you."
"Hush, you," Dash playfully hissed.

Still not fully relaxed from the storm, Caleb when in for a bath.
"You know, Caleb," Dot chuckled. "They say you shouldn't bathe in a thunderstorm."
"That's shower. I'm taking a bath. That and our house isn't the lowest point. And that I don't care."

While Britt went to watch TV with Caleb, Dash had his hands full with Bryte, trying to discipline without yelling.
"Bryte? Bryte do you think you should really be doing that?"
The toddler simply laughed, Dash sighing.

"I think we need to get out of the house. You have any ideas?"
"How about we not only get out, but go camping? Summer Splash is coming up soon so it would be a great way to celebrate."

"Sounds good to me," said Dash. "So long as we make it back for that birthday party next week."
"Don't worry," said Caleb, calling up Granite Falls Campgrounds. "We will."
