"Still," said Alice, "Jasmine said this might the last time you're around these parts. You're moving I heard?"

"Yeah. The boss called and said the offshore oil rig is going to be finished next week so I need to move so I can be closer to work. Unagi doesn't have any issue with it, but then again, so long as the money is coming in, I could be working for Father Winter and she wouldn't care."

Alice sighed. "Yes, that does seem to be a common Miruchi trait. Somehow my dear Satoshi missed that completely."

Just then, Satowa announced that the ceremony was about to start. Alice went to pick up Sakura.

After lighting some incense (which Alice compared to smelling like old gramma soaps), Satowa recited a blessing in his native language.

"Now then," said Satowa. "Do you understand what is expected of you?"

Sakura shook his head.

Alice and Ralph giggled, Satowa taken aback a bit that Sakura knew the word for "no meaning."

Satowa sighed.

"Yes, yes I guess I was saying a lot of long words..."
