If you've been following along in the countdown thread, you know that we're now less than 24 hours from baby goat pack Horse Ranch and I want to see all of your baby goats builds!
Everyone knows the drill by now, BABY GOAT PICTURES BELOW PLEASE!
I moved the seven horses temporarily in with a servo, then moved the seven riders into a household of their own and visited the lot with the horses.
Using the crime scene marker as starting line was a bad idea, because the sims perceive it as a fence. Instead of crossing it, one half of the riders went to the right, the other half to the left.
I haven't really played with horse ranch a massive amount, since I'm a rotational player, but I got to my Chestnut Ridge family last night and I had an absolute blast! I haven't played that long in one session for quite a while.
I have a YA brother Chase, teen sister Charlie and child sister Chloe whose parents were killed in a car crash. Chase is the ranch hand, trying to cope with all the animals and plants and make enough money to live on - unsuccessfully lol (they had to sell the laptop and computer to pay their first bill). Then he found a 2K bottle of nectar in the grass! Whoa! Hopefully he will make some money from selling nectar when he gets his skill up.

@elanorbreton nice picture. It is fun to see kids can ride too.
I wanted my sims to take a ride on the paths in Mt Komorebi. Unfortunately they all have stairs to access them and the horses can't get there. If anyone knows how to teleport horses up the stairs, please let me know. I know you can shift click to teleport active sims but we can't select horses.

This mule by @Kalino functions as a rental in my current save. He was already ridden by an evil spellcaster and made the trek through the jungle back and forth, but the sight of a smartphone-using local was too much for the poor thing:

Horses have become to me what werewolves used to be: no matter what I play, there need to be werewolves horses in. As a result I have beginner riders in many households and their faces are hilarious.
My current household got their horses from Moonwood Mill, they are descended from the logging camp's work horses and are also stabled in Moonwood Mill for space reasons. Now what to name these monsters? I'm not good with names, so I let my sims decide. Meet Pain, Misery, Despair and Ruin (it's how they feel when riding)!
@EnkiSchmidt Luckily we don't have to choose between horses and werewolves. Horses don't mind a furry rider.

Living on the farm can also be wholesome for a werewolf. Lots of hay to sleep in. But he had to promise his girlfriend to not eat the sheep. The sheep don't mind a wolf in their midst either. ;) https://i.imgur.com/u9l4F76.png
