I want a TS5. OP, you brought up good points.
I think the devs are struggling with the programming or the engine of the game. For example, they have a color wheel for the pets but for some reason did not implement this for the sims too. My guess is it could be a lot of work to revamp the whole coloring method for the sims themselves.
There's always so many packs being added, there's only so much the base game can take. Heck, even my laptop that exceeds the required specs can't handle the game. :D And we can see the game already breaking so much after each patch and packs. >.<
