I'm pretty sure ts5 won't be out anytime soon, probably in a year or 2-3. Besides it'll be naive to think it'll be any better. Even if it has a better game engine, it'll still start out bare bones because that is EA's sale tactic. Besides, they knew how we would've wanted ts4 from the start, if they had taken into account favourite features from ts2 and ts3. They did something else entirely, to which they have every right of course. But that means ts5 could be far worse than ts4, or it could end up being a better game (which is subjective to begin with.
All in all I don't think I'd be ready to move on until I know what the basics of ts5 are.
And unless ts5 is ready for release soonish, I do believe it would be wise if they allocated more resources to the bug fixing part of ts4. Just adding more content only makes it worse atm. But, since that's their main sales tactic and a demand/request from a large part of the player base (I see people constantly asking for new content), I fear that's not gonna happen.
That said, I do generally like sims 4, but the recent lack of proper bug fixes has me unmotivated and slightly worried.
