The Sims 4 is six years old now, is it time to move on?

I am 50/50. If they scrapped The Sims 4 and started releasing The Sims 5 - I would be annoyed because The Sims 4 could have many more packs to complete the game and would havs wasted money expecting decent upcoming packs that may not be made as I expect them to be.

But at the same time, The Sims 5 might be better since six years is a long lifespan for The Sims 4 and I hope they have been developing The Sims 5 behind the scenes for these long six years.
