It totally depends on what the sims 5 will be like.

Will it be a step forward from its predecessor like sims 2 and 3 were, then yes, I'm all for it.

Will it be like sims 4 and a huge step backwards, the no. If they leave out base game features of sims 1 again.... I don't know if I will still bother buying a fifth installment under those circumstances.
