I'm still happy with Sims 4. I've still got lots to explore with the game and loads of plans so even if they announced Sims 5 this year, I wouldn't be interested in a new generation right now. And if it's going to be an online multiplayer, then probably not ever.
That said, I'd still observe with interest. If/when Sims 5 does release, I'm happy to wait quite a while before jumping on that bandwagon. Like I said, I've still got plenty I want to do with Sims 4 yet and I think going through the wait for seasons/pets/university would drive me crazy :D
