The Sims 4 is six years old now, is it time to move on?

I’d like to know if certain things can be done to improve personalities, A.I. and the worlds. From time to time we hear about some change being likely to break our saves, so that’s why we can’t have that update. I’m at the point now where I’d be fine with starting over if we were told in advance that an optional upgrade could “break our saves”.

If we are so limited, why even bother continuing with TS4?

TS5 has a lot to live up to before I’ll even think of buying it. And weather is a prerequisite this time around.
