gee, they used to invite some Simmers to Maxis Studios on Sims 3 time to create a lot of buildings and Sims for promotion and community activity. This reality could be something like that. I like the idea and don't think that the budget get ripped of by 100 thousand dollars because of it.

Yeah, I would prefer that Maxis stick to making games. Hopefully there are still a lot of people over at Maxis that still does that. Maxis is a large studio.I also hope that they recorded this last year and not this year with the current pandemic...?

TV shows also actually make money. If TV shows cost more money than they make, no one would be making them. It can also tank and fail, but that's a risk you take.

I'm not convinced many people in America will watch this at all. Younger people don't even watch TV, and they are the main Sims demographic. Older people don't care about video games on TV.

I cannot say much about this special project, but marketing is important, especially for a game in its sixth year.

Most younger people (15-30) only watch online streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Youtube. TV is expensive in the US, so only older people can afford it, with companies like Verizon raising prices all the time. A lot of younger people don't even have TV at all.

Sure. But surely, people living with their (middle-class) parents can and do watch TV. The target demographic seems to be teens and teens mostly live with their parents. So TV being expensive and only being for older people wouldn't be a factor in teens watching this reality show. Besides, I think the idea is not appealing to people who already play The Sims, but new people encountering it on the TV since it is a popular channel (according to you, I don't know anything about it).

I'm not excited about it. I don't really care about these kind of shows but looks like we're having the opportunity to participate in future seasons. That is kinda exciting, in my opinion :tongue:
