I just find Sims4 easer to play so hope it continues.
If I didn't have such problems with the Launcher and some kind of glitch in scrolling down when choosing clothes in CAS I would play Sims3 a lot more. I bought most of the Store also but it just refused to acknowledge a lot of it. A very stressful half an hour or so to reload everything for me. It's a shame as there is a beautiful game there.
I don't think I wasted my money though as I got several years pleasure when it worked properly and I am getting enjoyment, in a different way, from Sims 4.
How much RAM do you have? When I played TS3 on a machine with only 4GBs of RAM I had a slow load for things like CAS. But that's not the only reason my CASt was slow. It's because I would redesign all sorts of woods on objects save those as customs. (No cc at all just using CASt) even patterns on furniture wood, lol. You can never have too much wood. Or I would redesign the wall panels and totally change those, too, to all sorts of things. But point being when I changed machines and had 8GBs of RAM all that load time stopped in CAS. True the game can't use more than 2.5GBs but think how that had to be divided between 4Gbs for XP (TS3 release) and then later for Windows 7 which both used 1GB so too little RAM does effect TS3.
