@drake_mccarty People usually don’t believe the facts that I write about. So let me document that EA always has announced the next basegame about 15 months before their release:
1. Sims 2 was announced on May 5, 2003 according to https://forum.quartertothree.com/t/ea-announces-the-sims-2/3429 and I think that we all know that is was released on September 14, 2004.
2. EA began to talk about Sims 3 in February 2008 according to https://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/sims_3_to_be_announced_soon_/1/ and released the game on June 2, 2009
3. Sims 4 was revealed by Maxis on May 6, 2013 according to https://www.ea.com/news/maxis-unveils-the-sims-4 and released on September 2, 2014.
So now you can judge if I maybe am right anyway in my claims about the new basegames always being announced/revealed almost exactly 15 months before their release date? ;)
Of course we still don’t know though if the next basegame really will be released in the second half of 2019 until we see EA announce some time in the middle of 2018. But why shouldn’t EA just do this just one more time? :)
