I love The Sims having competition and the idea EA losing its monopoly. And I'm sure it will manage to win a lot of Sims fans over, and maybe even drive some of said fans away from The Sims. But I don't think they'll be sweating over inZoi too much. The realistic style might turn a lot of people off, and the PC requirements are steep enough to keep away a lot of potential players. We also don't know when inZoi will even come out, and if it can live up to the hype.
I have the same feelings. I think it's healthy for there to be some competition to make EA/Maxis be better at QA'ing packs before release and forcing them to add better and more content.
I also don't feel like Inzoi will drive a ton of people away because of the super realistic graphics, I know for me personally, it's pretty jarring. I tried the Character Creator demo and I just couldn't get past the look of the characters.
So even though I am interested in other Life Sims, Inzoi is probably not one I'll buy.
But, then again, I also don't care for the look of the Parafolks in Paralives either because the 2D comic book look of the characters with the hand drawn details is also jarring to me personally because they don't match their environment. If the environment had the same 2D comic book hand drawn look then I would for sure be interested in that.
