The Sims 5 : release for 2021 ?!

I was just on a french popular game website, having a look to buy a new pack with the sales. I searched for "the sims4" and ranked the result from latest to oldest, and the first option was The Sims 5, announced for the 31st of December 2021 ! I know this website is legit (I use it all the time to buy my games), so do you think the info is legit as well ?? See screenshots below.

    @Simburian They always give up eventually, especially if the sales drop slightly, they did with the Sims 3 and I think the Sims 4 isn't in its "Cats and Dogs" days anymore with the crazy sales.

    Why'd they even bother with a skintone update if Sims 5 is out next year?

    I was thinking the same. They also re-themed the main menu to make room for more future DLC. Makes me think TS4 may go on for longer than we might think

    Me too. I actually really grew to like it since toddlers came. I hope it will still go on another 2 years, tbh, there is still so much to be added yet. And i hope there will be lots of family gameplay coming along next year (babies, gameplay and CAS for teens, playable high school, I'd also love bands, always loved to create and play musician families...). And of course: hotel and romance stuff! We miss so much still! And FARMING!!!
