Sul Sul!
EA_Cade here and welcome to the AHQ Highlights and Recap thread for the month of April 2024. We had a pretty busy month last month!
I'll let EA_Solaire go into the nitty gritty down below, but before I go I just want to say I hope everyone had a fantastic April and that I can't wait to show off more of the upcoming reveals we have in store for you soon 🙂

This month's news and announcements:
- On the 18th, the two newest kits, Party Essentials and Urban Homage were released! You'll also want to check out this detailed interview with content creator Ebonix as she discusses what inspired her creations for the Urban Homage kit.
- If that's not enough to get you partying, on the 26th Ebonix also hosted a developer deep-drive stream to discuss Urban Homage - if you missed it, you can still watch it here!
Patches and updates:
- On the 16th, a new patch was released which addressed several bug fixes as well as an update to the Gallery Profanity Filter - you can read up on everything included in this patch in the notes here.
Notable threads:
- We'll be kicking this month off with this new twist on the classic Rags to Riches challenge, One Block Challenge, shared by @SkeilahTS4. To start this challenge, you'll be placing your Sim on an empty lot, trapping them within a 1x1 square, and delete all funds from the household. The goal is simple, you'll make money to escape the block and build your own home. If you try this challenge, be sure to share your stories with us - I'd love to hear all the different methods you come up with to escape and see what you end up building!
- Up next, we have a slice-of-life story in the form of comics, A Sim's Life, created by @Caerfinon. This story follows a variety of Sims through their day to day lives and the adventures they experience. If you're in need of a light-hearted comic series to follow along with, you'll absolutely want to check out what these Sims have been up to!
- Earlier this month, I stumbled across this incredible build, The Old Quarter Inn, created by @Bonxie_MCCC, which is a stunning and detailed rebuild of the premade inn found in the Olde Platz of Windenburg. This lovely medieval style build sits on top of several large basements and includes plenty of outdoor seating and dining areas, surrounded by lush landscaping and fresh flower gardens. So next time your Sim is on vacation and looking for the perfect place to stay, you'll definitely want to reserve a room here, be sure to check it out!
And to wrap us up, the results from this month's polls:
Which lifespan length do you typically play with?
We almost had a tie for this one with Long winning at 37% and Aging Off following at 36%! I'm definitely an Aging Off type of player because I can't stand having my Sims die of old age ☹️
It looks like the majority of you have been playing this series longer than I have, with The Sims winning at 51% - my first (and still my favorite) was The Sims 2, but I think I'll try to dig up The Sims and give it a whirl!
And that's all for another month of highlights! Stay tuned for all the exciting news and updates for next month. Happy Simming everyone!
