The only way to have drama is to install mods that allow actual killing of one sim by another (without that, vampires, werewolves, and even "evil" witches can't kill or even do real harm), mods to allow jealousy to matter, mods to allow anything to happen on its own. Otherwise, nothibg can stop sims from being deliriously happy a day after their mom dies or their spouse runs off with someone else.
Also, there are no chain reactions of consequence. Traits have no impact beyond occasional animations like the paranoid lookabout; traits won't affect choices, they just give the sim a little animations or some moodlets and a lot of them are nothing but your sim getting Tense or Happy when they do one thing or another so they are almost pointless. I mean being evil just means cackling and getting happy when someone else is unhappy, but evil sims aren't more likely to act in evil ways. They can be nice people, who just happen to like dealing with sad people, so they would make good therapists ?
Love in the game looks cute, til you realize it has no depth either because almost anyone will be falling lovestruck at your feet if you just push a few social interactions. It doesn't matter who they are, you can be Doctor Frankenfurter without half trying and no one's going to object. Except the Crumplebottoms, they can actually hit other sims, so at least there's that! ?
