The turtle hatching event - Spoilers ahead of how it looks!

That is adorable.

I saw this on the dev livestream; it's sooooo cute, and sims that watch will cheer them on!

ohhh these pictures are so sweet -my reaction is the same as the male sim clutching his head and dancing on the spot in the front row there.

Thank you so much. I'll look forward to this. How cute can this game be. I just missed it the first time, because my sims just had left for a vacation to Granite Falls.. I hope to watch it sometimes soon.

I got impatient and placed the blue one, here are the results:

It looks a little as if the turtles were flying and I had to use bb.moveobjects because otherwise they would have buried themselves in the sand again instead of diving in, but with the right camera angles it can look very cute.

I exit without saving, so I cannot say if the baby turtle onrush ever stopps.

I went in the game again, after all. It's late over here, but I wanted to be certain. Good news: It's not endless!

My Strangerville guy placed two baby turtle hatchers on his homelot around nine-ish in the morning:

The baby turtles sink into the ground shortly before the pool and re-emerge after they've passed the threshold. I believe this can be worked around/concealed a bit, but I'm a terrible builder, so I'll leave that to you.

In the afternoon my sim got asked by a friend whether he could drop by. When the guest arrived I showed him the pool and he took a selfie - by this time there are still turtles hatching.

When the sims entered the pool, I noticed that no more turtles were hatching. That was between 16:00 and 17:00.
The blue banners have become non-functional. I cannot click on them anymore.

Exited without saving again.

I can't have the event coming anywhere. does this depend on another Sims 4 pack like perhaps City Living? The game tells me, they are hatching but I can't find them anywhere on the vulcano island.

Yea, I know it very well, and my sim lives on that island on the vulcano lot nearby. He was at home when he had the message. But the flags and the other stuff never showed up. We waited all day and nada!

(And as always I found this only AFTER closing my game, lol)

I find it amusing that all the sims crowd around the one blue banner cheering the turtles on while no one is standing around the other turtles. Felt bad for the turtles so I made my sim cheer them on as well. Talk about giving the poor turtles a complex. lol
