I don't see why they couldn't implement seasons in all world's. It's mostly just an overlay or a new swatch to existing objects. There's the first snow mod which does this, I believe there's also an autumn one. It would just be the snow falling and the rain coming down. Puddles are just an object. So I really hope they put it across all world's like in s2 where we could set the seasons ourselves. I think with the franchise they can't afford another toddlers or locked apartments fiasco. I also think the team is moving much more in the direction of give the players the game they want. I think all this talk of the game engine is nonsense, it's mostly lack of resources and time.
