They eloped!

As for the big time frame from this happening and the patch, I updated my game yesterday when it happened. I haven't been playing since I've been in school but now that it's over I have.

It would be so lovely to be INFORMED of significant changes... in patch notes... along with the jokes.

This is not cool man. Story progression is going to ruin the game for me, especially when it's happening even in the same household. Options would be nice.

I hope that was just a one-time glitch. Otherwise, we're losing more and more control of our games if they keep this up. Story Progression should be optional and have parameters the players set. It shouldn't be something determined by devs to just randomly inject into our games.

Silly question since I didn't play TS3, but I know there's story progression there but was there an option to turn it totally off in TS3?

There was an off in the game options but it didn't work. lol

Oh. Haha, that's just as bad. :D Hopefully, they'll learn from that and make a workable option button on TS4, or perhaps not use "game changing/bending" type of story progressions in the game.

Yep. I don't feel these things should be happening on their own. Not the BIG things like marriage, kids, jobs, etc.

I love it! It should make so many happy if it's real. I read a lot of players- some/some more - that enjoy just watching the game play on its own.

A new group of players are happy now.

I agree with you guys. I don't want my sims eloping and I don't want them woo-hooing in the closet autonomously. I put the walk in closets in my sims house, was watching my sim garden and heard the woo-hoo music. I looked over and my adult daughter sim and her friend walked out of the closet. Apparently they can start romantic relationships without prompting.
