I just rather play Sims 3, the upsides far outweigh the downsides compared to Sims 4 since Sims 3 actually allows men to be masculine.
There's body hair, dive bars, better selection of jobs, animations aren't so feminine for men and traits actually do something, allowing you to build more masculine personalities through that and much more.
All Sims 4 sims are just that same punchable annoying hipster personality.
It's high time that a serious competitor rises up and offers what the sims does not. Sadly Paralives won't be it since they aim for a 12+ rating too.
But a real competitor with a 16+ rating could be great. Allowing alcohol, smoking, maybe even murder. Better job structures too and generally just being geared towards offering something appealing to everyone while being able to get a bit darker and really allow your characters to hit rock bottom.
