They Showed Up at High School?

I have played household teens show up at HS on a regular basis. At first, it was just the HSY premades like Molly, Kevin, Noah, etc. But now, most of the teens that show up are from my other played households and only one or two NPCs. But I do have a lot of households, over 150, and a lot of teens. Generally, the played teens that show up will change depending on which household I'm playing. Some will show up quite often, and others not at all.
I've found that you do need a couple of NPC teens though for graduation if you like to go to the ceremony. The NPCs will age up to fill out the graduating class which is usually 4 graduates including your teen. If your sim didn't get to be the valedictorian, then the game will make one of the NPCs that showed up at HS with your sim fill that role.
