The official sim builds often has issues.
A common one is that windows are placed too high up on the walls, just like paintings.
It's like they have no idea how tall sims are.
Another is that despite saying they're not allowed to use MOO several houses obviously use it. The Spire Apt 888 for example clearly has it, because several items are just... off in their placement.
Also the use of island counters instead of normal ones is present in a lot of older houses too.
In short at least 50% of all premade houses has to have things (often including windows!) moved or deleted before the lots function normally.
