Totally agree with you and was actually very disappointed when I noticed this things in the game (specifically the rain stuff and puddles).
Another update I expect is on the mud/water balloon/snow fight animations. They look so...bad.
And an overhaul or change in the new clothing categories. A lot in there makes no sense. Like swimwear not being already suited for hot weather, or not having jogging cold and hot outfits, etc.
