Fun fact on eco footprint and gardening!
Industrial neighborhoods make plants grow faster while Green neighborhoods make plants grow slower. In addition though, plants Industrial neighborhoods get more weed problems than in other neighborhoods.
The main benefit with Green neighborhoods however is that the plants tend to be higher quality, selling for more and making better meals.
So yeah, in short for gardening:
- If you prefer quality over quantity, go green!
- If you prefer quantity over quality, go industrial!
Ok, today I'll go over with whom your sim can have a science baby with.
Your sim can have a science baby with any sim with who they have at least 35 Friendship Relationship points.
- Both sims must be young adult or older.
- The sims mustn't be closely related, thus they mustn't be aunt/uncle, niece/nephew, sibling, child, parent, grandparent, or grandchild.
- The following sims can only be asked through social interaction and cannot be picked when doing so through a phone or computer: Spoiler
- Horse Trainer
- Mysterious Rancher
- The following sims cannot be picked even through the social interaction: Spoiler
- Ghosts
- Servos
- Skeletons
- Grim Reaper
- Challenge NPCs (Jasmine Holiday, Millie Bobbie Brown)
- Alien Pollinator (Pollination Technician)
- Jailed Criminals in the Police Station

- Yamachan
- Guidry
- Temperance
- Bonehilda
- Greg
- Rival in Stuck in Their Shadow (Lewis Sancho)
- The household must have room for more sims (less than 8 sims).
So yeah, that fun fact for today.

I was just inspired by another post to go researching into ghosts. The wiki page has a lot of useful information with several things I didn’t know. It’s an aspect of the game I probably haven’t used or played enough. I never knew that a ghost of a sim killed by a cow plant will actually look after the plants and increase the quality if the ghost is happy. However, if angry, the ghost will infest the plants with weeds and cause them to lose quality. There is so much information there, that I’ve now decided to play this aspect far more fully in a new save as I have basically ignored the ghosts in my previous gameplay.

Thankyou for the helpful information about the ghost sim killed by a cow plant and how their mood affects gardening @OzSimsFamily 🙂 I didn’t know that!
- OzSimsFamily2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@rosemow So pleased I was able to provide you with a new nugget of info about the game. I’ve just started a new save, I’m going to play Goddess and kill off my sims in lots of different ways so I can explore the ghosts a lot more, because I learn better by doing rather than reading.

Fun fact on infant and toddler quirks and what traits prevent what from appearing!
These infant traits prevent these infant quirks from appearing:
- Sensitive
- Loves Sounds
- Self-Soother
- Hates Wakeup Time
- Calm
- Snuggly Sleeper
- Sunny
- Hates Being Held
These toddler traits prevent these toddler quirks from appearing:
- Angelic
- Destructive
- Aggressive
- Clingy
- Wanderer
So yeah, this fun fact for now.
Wanted to see what makes which quirks appear more often, but failed to find this info. For now, what info we know is that vampire toddlers are more likely to be aggressive, spellcaster toddlers are more likely to love books, and werewolf toddlers are more likely to be destructive.
- Sensitive

Welcome to another episode of Rare Moodlets!
Today's episode: Loyal trait and occults.
If a vampire and a werewolf are friends and one of them has Loyal trait, the one with it gets this moodlet:
SpoilerConfident +3
A Bond Forged by Night
(From Loyal Trait)
Friendships between Vampires and Werewolves might be frowned upon, but Loyal Sims friendships override any occult law!

Fun fact on occults and XP inheriting.
Vampires inherit XP from their parents. These XPs mostly come in play when the vampire ages into a teen.
Here's how many XPs the vampire gets for each parent's XP level (and how many points and levels it is):
- Level 1 parent(s) give 10 XP points (level 1, 2 points).
- Level 2 parent(s) give 20 XP points (level 1, 2 points).
- Level 3 parent(s) give 30 XP points (level 1, 3 points).
- Level 4 parent(s) give 40 XP points (level 1, 3 points).
- Level 5 parent(s) give 50 XP points (level 1, 3 points).
In short, the stronger one of the parents are, the more XP will the young vampire start off with.
With werewolves it's easier. XP is automatically given once the sim becomes a teen.
- Most werewolves get 100 XP once they age into a teen. It is level 1 and 3 points (exactly half-way to level 2).
- Werewolves with Greater Wolf Blood trait get additional 100 XP (totaling into 200 XP). It is level 2 and 4 points.
So werewolf children, no matter who are their parents, will get at least some XP to start off.
Spellcasters seem to get nothing unfortunately.

Fun pack fact (as in werewolf pack)!
Is your sim a member of Moonwood Collective pack and has broken objects?
If so, they have a chance of receiving a phone call from a pack member, offering to repair the stuff.
Here's the call for those interested:
SpoilerHey pack member! Need help with repairs? So yeah, the Moonwood Collective pack helps each other out!
- EgonVM2 years agoSeasoned Ace
Today's fun fact.
Today I took a look at alternative ways to overcome fears besides the confrontation whim and the rewards store potion.
These are:
- Fear of Death
- Can be removed by drinking the Potion of Youth
- Can be removed by befriending the Grim Reaper
- Fear of Being Cheated On
- Can be removed by breaking up with the partner
- Fear of Dead End Job
- Can be removed by losing the job
- Most of the school related fears can be removed by dropping out, getting expelled, or graduating.
But there is one interaction that removes all fears your sim has:
Bask in Horse Bravery
This removes all fears the sim currently has. This requires a brave horse and at least Good Friend relationship with the horse. In addition, this can be only done again after 2 days.
- Fear of Death
- OzSimsFamily2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@EgonVM wow thank you for your regular insights. I am going to have to try the basking in horse bravery. No matter how many hours played each day, there is always something new to be learned. I’m still sometimes learning fun facts about Sims 2 and 3 and I’ve been playing them a lot longer than sims 4. I’d love to see the previous sims be updated and re-released. I’d be right up at the front of the line purchasing them so I’m able to play sims 1 and 2 easily again.

This is probably old news to most people. I didn't know dogs will eat the feed sims leave out for their chickens. I never actually saw my sim's dog eat the feed. Then I saw this...
At a distance I thought it was the little piles of feed. I thought it was odd. She never puts the feed there. When I got closer I saw what it actually was. That would explain why she had to put down more feed lately. This was my odd 'learn something new everyday' moment.😃
- EgonVM2 years agoSeasoned AceA quick fun fact for today.
MySims Go! video game is codenamed as MariaSisters. Kind of makes sense, as it is a platformer after all. - EgonVM2 years agoSeasoned Ace
So then, I am slowing down a little with these fun facts unfortunately.
But here's a fun fact on burn-out.
Mental traits (like Genius) slow down Mental burn-outs while creative traits (like Creative) slow down Creative burn-outs.
But what if your sim already has burn out?
Well, here are some activities that help with both mental and creative burn outs:
- Crafting an outstanding object.
- Quitting the current job.
- Complaining about burnout.
- Taking a vacation.
- Taking it easy at work.
- Being in good mood.
