Forgot to add some sims get scared while watching horror movie and will spill their popcorn. I’ve also seen some of my sims seem to develop a favourite popcorn to make - one of my sims makes only buttered popcorn autonomously while another only ever makes caramel corn autonomously. Not sure if this is actually coincidence or if Sims actually do develop favourites for types of popcorn.

I haven't heard about favorite TV channels... I'll have to check it out.
However, Movie Night stuff does bring favorite movie feature. It isn't from traits, but something sims can declare after enjoying a movie. After that, they enjoy that genre of movies more. There are 5 specific hidden traits for these.
I don’t think that it is coincidence that your sims make only a certain popcorn autonomously @OzSimsFamily because I have read other simmers saying the same thing. I think that they do have favourite types.

Fun fact on the snooping feature (For Rent expansion pack).
There are two special traits sims can get from the feature: Public Menace from blackmailing too much (more social fulfillment from Mean and Mischief interactions and easier break in I guess) and Safe Keeper for keeping many secrets (easier to obtain secrets and faster relationship gain).
Sims can have these two traits active at the same time.
I am not sure if simmers know this, but child sims can write a dollhouse story on the computer after playing with the dollhouse.
I think that is sweet 🙂

I have fantastic news in Movie Night stuff and Growing Together cross-compatibility!
The favorite movie your sim has declared will affect how much they'll enjoy the movie in the movie theatre. Drama is a one extra genre though, so that is an exception here, but still a positive surprise. Also, kids movies unfortunately don't seem to be like family movies, so declaring family movies to be favorite genre doesn't affect the outcome.
Traits will also affect how sims enjoy the cinema movie (with + meaning likes and - meaning dislikes). Here's the list under the spoilers!
Spoiler- Romance
- Romantic +
- Unflirty - (unless they've declared Romance as their favorite movie genre)
- Kids
- Childish +
- Cheerful +
- Hates Children -
- Horror
- Gloomy +
- Geek +
- Evil +
- Squeamish - (unless they've declared Horror as their favorite movie genre)
- Cheerful - (unless they've declared Horror as their favorite movie genre)
- Drama
- Art Lover +
- Creative +
- Childish -
- Action
- Active +
- Bro +
- Snob - (unless they've declared Action as their favorite movie genre)
- Comedy
- Goofball +
- Clumsy +
- Bro - (unless they've declared Comedy as their favorite movie genre)
- Snob - (unless they've declared Comedy as their favorite movie genre)
In addition, emotions also affect the outcome, as negative emotions make sims like the movie less and positive emotions make sims like the movie more. In addition, sims banned from the movie theater will never enjoy the movie.
You know what, as I have the files open, why don't I also put all the potential movie titles here. Under the spoilers, of course:
Spoiler- Romance
- Packs & Prejudice
- Simder 2: Master Suite
- Untamed Treachery of the Heart
- Princess Cordelia's Pirates
- Kids
- Critters from the Mauven Forest: the Last Llama
- Peter Barker's Homecoming Hijinks

@EgonVMThat's a great list. I had no idea we had so many movie titles to choose from.
Did you know some of those titles are from get famous. Your sim can actually be in those films (in theory, you won't see them) These titles are : of tea & treachery, Captain Sigma : Olympus landing and The sheriff of Alpha Centauri.
Did you know some of these titles are also books your sim can read. Dusk Glow 3: Shadow moon, Peter Barker's Homecoming, Packs and Prejudice. The last one comes with werewolves, of the others I'm not sure if they are base game. Guess turning books into films is a thing in the sims as well.
Did you know Treasures of Aarbyville is a reference to the sims medieval. In that spin off Aarbyville is a neighbouring country with which you can start diplomacy.

Thanks for telling us that the movie titles are also books that our sims can read and that Treasures of Aarbyville is a reference to Sims Medieval @atreya33 I didn’t know those things. It is great that The Sims is like real life with books being made into movies.

I didn't know this! That is so sweet. I will definitely have to do this next time I'm playing a family with kids 🙂
