I wouldn’t want my sims to be mean to animals in the game! @EgonVM ☹️ I like seeing them interacting with them in a friendly way 🙂

Which is a fantastic idea as you'll get better produce, some animals help you with gardening, and your sim can raise their social need easier.
So yeah, being mean to animals is really not a great idea.
Oh, and you can ask foxes not to steal. So they don't steal your stuff or kill your livestock.
It is so sweet the way that teddy bears change their eyes! @simgirl1010 🙂 It is a cute photo of the three teddies.

Today I took a look at lay off system (mostly to help someone on The Sims Forums).
Remember, this thing can be turned off through Pack Options.
When the day ends, there's a chance for the lay-off period to begin.
The following thing increases the chance:
- Lazy trait
The following things decrease the chance:
- Sim has just earned a promotion.
- Someone in the household is already in the lay-off period or has recently gone through one (in cooldown).
And the following things prevent it:
- Professional Slacker reward trait
- Having recently gone through one (is in cooldown).
- Sim has recently joined the career.
Want to have your sim go through a lay-off period? Here's a cheat for it under spoilers!
SpoilerEnable testingcheats and enter this cheat:
traits.equip_trait trait_JobLoss_InLayoffPeriod
This will not give a notification that your sim in in layoff period, but it will not only give the effects of lay-off period (moodlets, certain fears), but it will also go through normally (ending with your sim either getting laid off or keeping the job).
If you use this cheat when you have lay-off system disabled, then you will always get a notification that your sim is safe from the lay-off.
So, your sim is in risk of being laid off? Well, all hope isn't lost.
The following things decrease the risk:
- Ambitious trait (very effective)
- Work Hard*
While the following things increase the risk:
- Lazy trait
- Taking it Easy* (very effective)
*May have different wording depending on the career.
If your sim does end up getting laid off, they can't rejoin the career for some time. They may also get a gift through mail or free pizza.
So yeah, another Growing Together feature explained.
Thanks for the helpful information about what can increase or decrease or prevent the chance of sims being laid off @EgonVM 🙂 I also didn’t know that if they do get laid off that they may receive a free pizza!
The bathroom is very pretty! @simgirl1010 🙂 It looks so lovely with the patterned half walls around the bath and the patterned walls and floors.
Thanks for posting about it! It is great to use for bathrooms.

Fun fact for spellcaster players: each cause of curse can give different curses.
Here's a list of curse causes and what curses these can give:
- Overcharging
- Curse of Uncontrollable Charge
- Curse of Infectious Laughter
- Overcharging too many times
- Curse of Uncontrollable Charge
- Curse of the Night Wraith
- Curse of Scrambled Spells
- Drinking too many potions
- Curse of Uncleansable Stench
- Curse of Awkward Embraces
- Too many failed potion making
- Curse of Unwarranted Hostility
- Curse of Repulsiveness
- Curse of Uncleansable Stench
- Too many failed spells
- Curse of Uncontrollable Charge
- Curse of Scrambled Spells
- Too many duels lost
- Hex of the Duelist
- Curse of Unwarranted Hostility
- Curse of Awkward Embraces
- Decurse spell fail
- All curses in-game
- Potion of Curse Cleansing fail or drinking Potion of Questionable Contents
- All curses in-game
Each spellcaster can have up to 3 curses and cannot get the curse they already have. Plus there is Decurse spell and Potion of Curse Cleansing to remove these. Plus becoming a non-spellcaster sim also removes curses.
So yeah, that's the fun fact for today.
