That is a nice feature, even in reverse. One of the sims in my household was being a bit of a pain, and she had some vacation accrued, so I sent her to Granite Falls for some downtime, and then just kept the action with everyone else. She came back feeling a lot better, and my other sim was able to get a ladyfriend to move in.
